"The “Drop the Labels” training in Ogulin, Croatia, was attended by over 20 participants from 9 countries. Hungary participated with the Youth Bridges Budapest association (Hanna, Thiga and Ivett). We were introduced to an innovative tool for working with young people: John Rawls’s “The Veil of Ignorance”. This method made it very easy for us to understand the situation of others and to put ourselves “in their shoes”. We tried out interactive tools that young people find educational and interesting. The “Drop the Labels” training was based on non-formal education. We learned about the problems of social inclusion, the skills and abilities needed to promote young people’s knowledge of social inclusion, and how to encourage and support young people to be more inclusive."

"The Hungarian national team joined a training program in Ogulin, Croatia, thanks to the organization of Youth Bridges Budapest. The "Drop the Labels" training course focused on social inclusion. On May 6th, youth workers in Budapest had the opportunity to learn more about social inclusion and the outcomes of the Ogulin project. The workshop we designed centered around a simulation of a group of friends living and organizing activities together. Group members made decisions regarding their programs and living conditions via secret ballot. By earning "friendship points" and managing financial choices, participants experienced firsthand how different backgrounds can lead to vastly different life circumstances and decisions. The approach gained from this training will undoubtedly highly valuable for many youth workers."
