• 10-months project

• The volunteers will have the opportunity to get involved in different parts of the social field, supporting people with disabilities, minors with mental health issues, homeless and vulnerable adults, refugees, a social and community theater or an NGO in their promotion and communication

• The tasks will be divided among the volunteer, according to their preferences, during the first month, after all of them had the chance to get an insight into the work of every field

Melange Wien is searching for 13 volunteers starting in autumn!

• The projects last 9-11 months

• There are available positions is different fields:

  • 10 of the volunteers will be in kindergartens, which have different specializations, such as nature, creativity and open pedagogical concepts

  • One opportunity is at a center for after school activities with children

  • One at a community arts project and culture house

  • And there is a placement at the biggest foodbank in Austria

• All opportunities last approx. 1 year

• Cultural Center Schlachthof:

  • The volunteer will prepare workshops related to video production and theater

  • Additionally, they will support events from the backstage, take videos and photos and be part of the editorial team of a magazine

• Waldorf School:

  • Basic tasks: supporting after-school activities, doing homework and playing with children

  • Tasks depending on your interests:

    • Planning school events, supporting media projects and updating social media pages

    • Helping in the school garden and by handcrafts and woodworking

• The duration will be 6 months

• The project will take place at Sunnahof Tufers and last 11 months

• Sunnahof is an organization where people with light intellectual disabilities can work, one of the tasks will be to support these people

• The volunteer can choose from 4 areas: agriculture, plant nursery, carpentry, gastronomy

• One project will be in the kindergarten Perlentaucher from end of September till June 2027

• The other one will be in the after-school care center Schulplatz 1 from August till May 2027

• The responsibilities of the volunteers will include looking after children, helping the staff members, planning small thematic workshops, events or excursions together with the pedagogues

• Both institutions have a sports and health oriented focus

• The project will last 10-12 months

• The kindergarten has an open concept, which means the children have the freedom to choose in which space they want to play

• Inclusive Day Care Center "Kita im Weiherwald":

• The volunteers will have similar tasks in both institutions: supporting pedagogues working with children from 1 to 6 years-old, accompanying the children in free play and excursions and realizing your own workshops

• The project will last from 1st April till 29th May

• Volunteers will take part in local youth work and support local young people, plan activities for them, such as workshops and an English language club

• There will be an important focus on artistic and creative tasks
