This youth exchange focused on empowering young people to actively promote diversity, respect, and inclusion. Building on creative and participatory methods, it provided opportunities to explore social challenges together, share perspectives, and develop strategies to counter discrimination and exclusion. Through dialogue, cooperation, and intercultural experiences, participants strengthened their understanding of cultural diversity and democratic values while enhancing their personal and social competencies.
This exchange was part of the Erasmus+ long-term accreditation programme implemented by Fahrten Ferne Abenteuer Abenteuercentrum Berlin and its partners.
Viktória
"Taking part in the Empowering Inclusion youth exchange was one of those experiences that stay with you long after the project ends. I arrived with excitement mixed with a bit of uncertainty, new people, new country, new dynamics. But from the very first day, I felt welcomed, seen and included.
One of the moments I will never forget was when our group opened up during a reflection session. Hearing everyone share their struggles and hopes made me realize how similar we all are, even if we come from very different backgrounds.
The activities pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best possible way. I learned to speak up more confidently, to listen without judgment, and to work together even when things got challenging.
My favorite memories are the simple ones: laughing during energizers, late-night conversations, cooking together, practicing languages, and feeling that beautiful sense of belonging among people who were strangers just days before.
I left feeling inspired, grateful, and a little changed in the best possible way."

"My name is Áron, and this was my very first Erasmus+ project. During the ten-day project, I managed to meet so many valuable people. Thanks to all the experiences, programs, and shared moments, those ten days felt less like ten days and more like months! I gained unforgettable memories and lifelong friends.
The topic of the project was Inclusion, which made it particularly interesting for me. We examined perspectives and situations that I had never reflected on before.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my first project, and I am certain it won't be my last!"

"Taking part in Empowering Inclusion youth exchange was an experience that energized me from the very first moment. I arrived excited, full of anticipation, and genuinely eager to meet new people and dive into something that I already felt would be meaningful.
Throughout the project, I learned just how important communication, openness, acceptance, and genuine curiosity are when working with others. I felt myself growing more confident day by day— speaking up more easily, opening myself to new perspectives, and understanding why people act the way they do. One of my biggest realizations was that I’m capable of stepping beyond my own limits, and that fear often has no real purpose.
Some of my favorite memories are the evening games and conversations, cooking together, playing music, dancing, and exploring Berlin with the group. I especially enjoyed the activities about different levels of inclusion—discussing them, reflecting on how I can contribute, and experiencing roleplays that helped me understand how people in different social positions might feel. These moments were truly eye-opening and made me more sensitive and aware.
The group was incredibly welcoming, and I loved how smaller, closer connections naturally formed within the bigger team.
I left the project feeling grateful, full of new insights, and honestly, a little transformed. I grew as a person—more open, more confident, and more aware of the importance of acceptance and human connection."
