What happens when our digital lives reflect—and even reinforce—old inequalities? What does it mean to challenge sexism in an online world that’s constantly evolving? And how can young people take the lead in shaping a more equal digital future?
in the coastal town of Pineda de Mar, from the 14th to the 20th of July of 2025, 40 young people from Albania, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain will come together for a Youth Exchange that dives into the complex relationship between sexism, social networks, and digital tools. It’s more than just a program—it’s a space for real conversations, shared learning, and creative action across borders.
Throughout this exchange, participants will explore how social media and digital platforms can both reinforce and dismantle sexist attitudes. Whether it's the subtle pressures of online stereotypes, the impact of gendered hate speech, or the ways algorithms can silence or amplify certain voices—these digital dynamics are part of everyday life. But they’re also spaces of resistance, where new narratives can be built and equality can be made visible.
At the same time, we won’t stay behind screens. Part of the experience involves stepping into the public sphere—out on the street, in contact with visible and invisible barriers—to understand how digital and physical worlds collide. Through intercultural dialogue and collaboration, we’ll explore what equality looks like not just online, but in our communities and cities.
Ultimately, this Youth Exchange is about empowering young people to lead. To step up and speak out. To design their own initiatives and take responsibility for shaping the kind of digital spaces they want to live in. And to build an international network of youth who see feminism, equality, and technology not as separate worlds—but as tools that can come together to build something better.
So if you’re ready to challenge the status quo, connect across cultures, and bring your digital ideas to life in a meaningful way—Pineda de Mar is calling. Let’s break the feed, flip the script, and create a new story—one where all voices matter.
