The eXPerience: Level Up Your Mentoring Game was a training course designed to empower youth workers and aspiring mentors with the essential tools, mindset, and methods to support young people through meaningful mentoring relationships. This project recognized mentoring as a powerful instrument for youth empowerment, personal growth, and community engagement. By connecting participants from diverse youth work contexts, the project also fostered intercultural learning, cooperation, and a shared understanding of youth mentoring across different realities.

During the Experience training course we got an insight in planning and implementing mentoring processes via lots of fun activities and group tasks. We learnt about the importance of inclusivity, a safe environment, proper communication and so on. A workshop was about planning our own mentoring process, which we can implement after returning home - so we can use our freshly gained knowledge for a good purpose.
As the first step of our mentoring plan we launched a workshop in Pesti Barnabás Technical School where we made a short presentation on our experience in Ogulin. We’d like to create a safe space for youngsters focused on personal growth and building a strong local community, a strong safety net. Already four student expressed their interest in participating in such a project - their enthusiasm provides a really good foundation.
What will happen now? We’ll schedule a kick-off meeting with the youngsters - we want to make sure that we involve them also in the planning process! We are sooo excited and can’t wait to see the impact of this nine month journey on the youngsters, on the community.
