BLUEFRONT positions disadvantaged youth in rural and nascent aquatic EU regions, at the heart of Europe's Blue Economy to harness the benefits of the Green Deal. We aim to understand barriers of engagement with the blue economy through the eyes of youth, and empower them to lead actions that address water challenges and propose solutions. The project fills a gap in educational content on the blue economy by developing learning resources for youth to act and raise awareness on water justice.
Understand barriers of engagement with the blue economy in remote, rural, coastal, and aquatic regions through the eyes of youth.
Develop and disseminate a learning framework for youth and youth workers, focusing on blue economy competences and advocacy skills for water justice.
Empower youth to implement local & transnational actions that address water challenges, propose sustainable solutions and advocate for the blue economy and water justice.
Raise awareness amongst participants and the broader community about the benefits of the blue economy, the EGD, and the impact of collective actions on climate change mitigation.
