Facilitation LAB is a training course designed to empower youth workers to explore and develop facilitation skills as a tool for learning, cooperation, and personal growth.
The project creates a safe and interactive learning environment where participants move from being learners to becoming active designers of learning experiences.
Throughout the training course, participants will engage in a series of non-formal education activities focused on teamwork, communication, and practical facilitation skills. The program begins with group-building activities such as team cooperation and active listening, helping participants build trust and create a supportive learning environment.
As the course progresses, participants will work on personal and group development topics such as confidence building, feedback culture, and the basics of project management. These sessions aim to strengthen both individual competences and group dynamics, which are essential for effective facilitation.
A key element of the training course is the Live Facilitation Lab, where participants will have the opportunity to design and implement their own workshops in practice. This experience allows them to apply what they have learned, experiment with facilitation methods, and receive constructive peer feedback.
Participants will also explore topics such as facilitation as a learning process, good practices and challenges in facilitation, and workshop design techniques. Reflection sessions, including structured debriefing and Youthpass reflection, will support participants in recognising their learning outcomes and personal development.
The course will also include time for dissemination activities, where participants will share their learning experiences and results with their local communities, multiplying the impact of the project beyond its duration.
Venue: Klaffer, Austria
