Open Your Eyes to Infectious Diseases Due to Migration

Open Your Eyes to Infectious Diseases Due to Migration” is the name of the Youth Exchange project that is going to take place in the island of Lefkada, Greece between 2th and 10th of May. Forty-two participants will take part in the activities, coming from different countries that include Poland, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Spain, Croatia, Turkey and Greece.

This project is a Youth Exchange Erasmus+ Project, that aims to educate young participants on the infectious diseases that are transmitted through migration and raise awareness on the multiple steps and practices that every young person should hold, regarding our personal hygiene. At the same time, participants will learn to welcome and respect the refugees and immigrants that arrive in Europe. The project’s overall aim is to promote the needed awareness on young people regarding our hygiene and build strong relationships between European youth, while making young people more receptive on new cultures.

Participants will work together with youth from multiple countries and experience intercultural dialogue and cooperation. Many activities will be planned and implemented during this week, activities where everyone will be engaged and will include sport activities, team building games, cultural visits to museums and more.
