The Fight of A Generation II

Voicing the Change

“THE FIGHT OF A GENERATION II - Voicing the Change” was a European youth exchange aimed at gathering young people who want to make a change in their countries and their communities. They joined efforts and ideas from different realities and addressed global environmental issues together to find support for the youth who feel alone in their fights for a better world.

Participants shared ideas, created plans and developed their capacity to make things happen in their town. They used and learned intervention tools to become changemakers in their communities and prepare ideas for environmental policies to be implemented in Chaves.

They prepared the ground for the valorization of the nature and ecology of their regions and found support in each other for all their future actions and interventions.

Participants' Testimonies

"I had an amazing experience in Portugal. It was my third project but I didn’t know what to expect. We had a lot of opportunities to get more information about the issues we can face daily concerning the environment and about the situation in Chaves. We also spoke to the young people in Chaves about how to improve the city and raise awareness about protecting our nature. Chaves was really beautiful and during our hike we did something good for the city by planting some trees to protect the biodiversity.

For me the best part of the project was the people I met. I made some really good friends from other countries and it was awesome to get to know them better and their culture as well. I’m gonna cherish all the conversations I had and I hope I can meet them someday maybe in Hungary or somewhere else." Ivett Kenderes

"We spent 9 beautiful days in Chaves, Portugalia while learning about the topic ecology and sustainability. During our stay we learnt about the ecological problems in the city, went trash collecting, planted trees, and presented our ideas to the youth in Chaves about how can the city or the youth themselves improve about their approach to sustainability. We held our own workshops about the topic which I've really enjoyed! We had a fun time meeting beautiful people during the project, and we can't wait to go back to the city in a few years time to see how they've used our ideas for their own development."  Márton Áder

"I would like to share my experience that my Portuguese youth exchange gave me. These 12 short days flew by incredibly fast. There is so much to see in Portugal and the project itself was so exciting. We learnt so much about environmental protection and civic initiatives that showed us how to solve different local problems through bottom-up approaches. Of course, we have been enriched with many beautiful and everlasting experiences and friendships, and I would like to encourage everyone to try the opportunities Erasmus+ offers, you will not regret it."  Ferenc Gönczöl
