As the ESC volunteer in Social Media and Content Creation, I took on the responsibility of bringing NaturKultur’s (NK) projects to life online. My daily work involved creating engaging videos, REELs, stories, and photos for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. I aimed to consistently show how educational, meaningful, and fun our youth exchanges are.
Professional Growth and Skills
I am lucky to say that NaturKultur’s perspective helped me significantly throughout this journey. They were flexible and understanding, regardless of the challenges I faced. This position equipped me with several technical skills that I know will be useful in my future career, including:
Professional camera operation
DJI technology
Meta Business suite management
Canva Pro for design

Life in Bremen: Connections and Challenges
While the work was fun. On a personal level, this felt like my first time truly living abroad, bringing up intense emotions I hadn't experienced before, such as homesickness and shifting motivation.
However, the community made a massive impact on me:
Diversity: I’ve connected with so many diverse individuals, an experience I believe could only have happened here in Germany.
Community: Unlike previous experiences in Austria, I was happy to be surrounded by like-minded people from all over the world.
Friendships: Close friends like Sandra and Princess played a huge role in my well-being. I’ll never forget our gatherings or the time spent in Schwarzer Weg.
As I return to Budapest to be with my family, I leave with the hope that my successor will also be Hungarian. I believe our culture and personality deserve more representation, as many international people haven't yet had the chance to have a Hungarian friend or co-worker.
NaturKultur e.V. is a youth association that was founded in North-West Germany and is now located in Bremen, Wiefelstede/Oldenburg and Osterholz-Scharmbeck.
The aims of the work of the association are: providing international mobilities for young people in Germany, encouraging young people to take part in these opportunities and creating community-based activities where young people are empowered to address issues that are relevant in their local societies. Additionally, the association provides opportunities for young people that will help them become more civically engaged. NaturKultur promotes tolerance, diversity, and understanding among the different cultures in Europe, in our local societies and beyond.
