Learn in Rural

Learn in Rural is a European volunteering project involving 48 young people, with the aim of creating learning environments that support the social inclusion and active participation of rural and migrant communities.

Implemented in Alcalá la Real, Spain, the programme gives young volunteers the opportunity to support the work of local civil society organisations, initiate intercultural dialogue, assist migrant families, and organise artistic, language-based and community activities. The project enables young people to experience the challenges and values of rural life directly, while developing their empathy, sense of initiative and intercultural competences. It also aims to raise awareness of the situation of young people affected by rural realities and migration, and to encourage their active participation in society.
